GraficoMovil:

Climate of Hope on Wheels

Our Americas Latino Eco Festival anf its Colorado mother, non-profit Americas for Conservation + the Arts, activate a custom 1948 Chevy delivery truck, the GraficoMovil, an homage to the complex and innovative history of printmaking, graphic arts, and the power of the arts as vehicles -- LITERALLY! -- for social and environmental justice.

Designed by Mexican artist and activist Artemio Rodríguez, GraficoMovil is a mural, gallery, printmaking studio and movie theater on wheels.  GraficoMovil is designed to go to schools, parks, community art centers, museums, and other public institutions, to showcase everything it has to offer.

The GraficoMovil first came to the Front Range in 2015 as part of the 3rd Americas Latino Eco Festival, taking the mobile community printmaking studio and built-in art history lesson to key locations, including the Museo de las Americas and the Denver Art Museum.

Last year, local Denver artist Arturo García took the wheel of the GraficoMovil, with Rodríguez's blessing, for a series of Metro-area community outreach stops and printmaking workshops/activations for the 5th Americas Latino Eco Festival in September 2017.
