Sara Espinoza
Sara Espinoza oversees NEEF’s Research and Best Practices unit, where she is responsible for leading and coordinating evaluation activities, tracking research and emerging trends in fields related to environmental education, incubating NEEF’s exploration of new themes and concepts, developing and evaluating pilot initiatives, and identifying and disseminating best practices and promising strategies in lifelong environmental learning.
Sara previously served as senior director of NEEF’s weather and environment programming, where she worked with the American Meteorological Society and broadcast meteorologists across the United States to incorporate environmental and climate information into the television weathercast.
Sara is a Senior Fellow and board member of the Environmental Leadership Program and an Audubon TogetherGreen Fellow. Before joining NEEF, Sara worked with the education programs at World Wildlife Fund and The Jane Goodall Institute. She holds a B.A. from Bucknell University and a Master of Environmental Management (M.E.M.) from Duke University.
