José Carlos Torres is a financial adviser, certified promoter of export laws, and entrepreneur with over 8 years of experience in the industry.
 
He studied business administration at the Polytechnic University and began his professional career in 2008, establishing his own printing and marketing company.

 

In 2014, he entered fully into the financial world, working in financial planning for individuals and corporations with the insurance and investment company "Mutual of Omaha Bank". At Mutual, José won several awards including the "Chairman's Council Award" and the "President's Club Award " given to the financial advisers within the company, that have reached the highest levels of production nationwide. In 2015, he was recognized by the Caribbean Business’ publication “40 under 40" as part of a group of young and influential leaders in Puerto Rico.

 

In 2016, he obtained his certification as a certified promoter of export laws, issued by the Department of Economic Development of Puerto Rico. Once he obtained this certification, he inserted himself fully into the development of platforms for international companies by promoting Puerto Rico as the ideal place to conduct and develop their businesses. Simultaneously, he began working on advising Puerto Rican businesses on issues relating to economic incentives and other financial opportunities in the local industry.
